Given the vast number of place names that appear on British postmarks, identification of a part strike on a stamp can sometimes be a difficult task, made even more complex by variations that appeared over a period of time.

Within this section we intend to add items all related to postmarks covering the Maltese Cross cancellations that were brought into general use in 1840, the London special types with the numbers in the centre, the barred numeral with the number in a circle along with a postmark database that will give users the ability to search and hopefully identify partial marks that appear on stamps.

Postmark Database    Postmark Database - A database of place names that appear on British postmarks.

Search from the place names to identify part strikes on stamps
or from the notes sections to find all those related to a certain type
